AI contract analysis means having software read a legal document and tell you what is in it — where it is vague, where it is one-sided, and what it commits you to. LegalValidate.ai reads the whole document and scores it on six things: clarity and completeness, risk protection, legal enforceability, balance of terms, structural integrity, and overall risk exposure. It takes about thirty seconds instead of the days a first legal read usually waits for.

The document is read in full, in the language it is written in. The AI works out what kind of agreement it is, scores the six criteria above with a one-sentence explanation for each, and counts the concrete weaknesses it found — missing clauses, undefined terms, obligations that run only one way. With an account it goes further and rewrites the document, strengthening the weak clauses and adding the standard provisions that are missing.

It is a fast, consistent first pass, and it should be treated as one. It reads every page with the same attention, which a person on their fortieth contract of the week does not — but it can misread an unusual clause, and it does not know your commercial context. If the document is not a legal document at all, it says so rather than inventing an analysis. For anything high-stakes, use it to find the questions and a lawyer to answer them.

That is what the scoring is for. Vague terms, one-sided clauses, missing protections and unusual provisions are what move the Risk Protection, Balance of Terms and Overall Risk Exposure scores, and each score comes with a sentence saying why. The weakness count tells you how many concrete problems a rewrite would fix.

It depends which part of the site you use, and we would rather say so plainly than claim more than is true. The 25 free document tools store nothing at all — your file is processed in memory and gone when the response is sent. The document workspace does hold your upload while you work on it, and deletes it automatically about two hours after your last change. A free analysis run from the home page keeps the document for up to 24 hours so you can claim the result by signing up, and deletes it when you do or when it expires. Documents you analyse inside an account stay in that account until you delete them. Everything travels over HTTPS.

No. It replaces the first read — the slow part where somebody works out what is actually in the document before anyone can advise on it. That is the part you are usually paying an hourly rate for. Bring a lawyer in for negotiation, funding rounds, cross-border questions and anything already in dispute.

Most documents come back in about ten to thirty seconds. The full rewrite takes longer — roughly a minute and a half — because the model is writing the whole document, so it runs in the background and the page follows its progress.

Yes, and it is the most common thing people bring us. The scores land on exactly the places NDAs go wrong: an undefined "Confidential Information" shows up in Clarity and Completeness, a one-way obligation in Balance of Terms, and a missing remedy for breach in Risk Protection.

The review reads the document in the language it is written in and answers in that language. English, Russian and Uzbek are the ones we test and support end to end, including text recognition for scans. Other languages generally work, but we do not promise them.
