What you get back

Score The question behind it
Clarity and Completeness Is anything important left undefined?
Risk Protection If the other side breaches, what can you actually do?
Legal Enforceability Would these terms hold up?
Balance of Terms Whose contract is this, really?
Structural Integrity Are the standard pieces present and in order?
Overall Risk Exposure What are you carrying by signing?

Alongside them: the document type it recognised, the language it detected, and a count of the concrete weaknesses a rewrite would fix.

Why use LegalValidate

Six scores, each with a reason

Clarity and completeness, risk protection, legal enforceability, balance of terms, structural integrity and overall risk exposure — out of 10, each with one sentence saying why.

A count of what is actually wrong

Not a vague warning: a number. Missing clauses, undefined terms and one-sided obligations are counted, so you know whether this is a tidy-up or a renegotiation.

It reads the document in its own language

English, Russian and Uzbek are read and answered in the language the contract is written in — not translated first and analysed second.

It knows what it is looking at

The document type is recognised from the text. If the file is not a legal document at all, it says so rather than inventing an analysis of your invoice.

And then it rewrites it

With an account, the weak clauses are rewritten and the missing standard provisions added — with a change log marking what was added, clarified, or made less risky.

When you need this

  • A contract arrived this morning and has to be signed today.
  • You are about to send an agreement and want to know what you are exposed to.
  • A lawyer costs $300 an hour and you need to know which three questions are worth asking.
  • You are comparing two vendor agreements and need to know which one is worse.
  • An NDA was put in front of you at the start of a meeting.

What this will not do

  • This is a first read, not legal advice. It can misread an unusual clause, and it does not know your commercial context or what you are willing to trade away.
  • It reads text. A scan or a photo has none until you make it searchable first — that tool is free and takes seconds.
  • The free review from this page covers three documents a day per visitor and shows the scores; the rewrite needs an account.
  • For funding rounds, cross-border enforceability and anything already in dispute, use it to find the questions and a lawyer to answer them.

AI document analysis — questions

Do I need an account? +

No. Three documents a day from this page, with no account and no card. A free account adds three full analyses a month with the rewrite; Starter is $9.99/month for 10 documents, Pro $19.99 for 30 and Business $49.99 for 50.

What file types can I upload? +

PDF, Word .docx and plain text. If your document is a scan or a photo, run it through Make PDF Searchable first — otherwise there is no text in the file to read.

How long does it take? +

About ten to thirty seconds for the scores. The rewrite takes roughly a minute and a half, because the model is writing the whole document, so it runs in the background.

What happens to my document? +

A free review keeps it for up to 24 hours so you can claim the result by signing up, then deletes it. Inside an account it stays until you delete it. It travels over HTTPS, is never used to train a model, and is never sold.

Can it replace a lawyer? +

No. It replaces the first read — the slow, expensive part where somebody works out what is in the document before anyone can advise on it.

Is your document a scan or a photo?

Then there is no text in the file yet, and nothing can review it — not us, not anything else. Give it a text layer first; it is free and takes seconds, and the pages keep looking exactly as they do now.
