Why use LegalValidate for image to text

Reads a photo of a page

A phone photo or a screenshot goes in, the words come out.

Three languages

English, Russian and Uzbek, selected explicitly.

Copy, paste, search

The text appears on the page and downloads as a .txt file.

Nothing stored

The image is processed in memory and discarded.

When you need this

  • Someone sent a photo of a clause and you need to quote it.
  • A screenshot of terms has to go into an email.
  • A printed notice needs to become editable text.
  • You want to search a photographed page for a specific word.

What this tool will not do

  • Handwriting is not reliably recognised.
  • Quality follows the photo: shadows, angles and creases cost more accuracy than any setting.
  • It returns text only. To keep the page as a document, convert it to PDF and make it searchable instead.

Image to text — questions

What image formats work? +

JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP and TIFF, up to 10 MB.

Can it read handwriting? +

Not reliably, and a handwritten amendment is the last thing worth guessing at. Type it out or have a person read it.

How do I get a searchable document instead? +

Convert the image to PDF, then use Make PDF Searchable — the text is written into the file and the page still looks the same.

Is the document a contract?

The same file can be read against six criteria — clarity, risk protection, enforceability, balance of terms, structure and overall exposure — free and without an account.

Need to do more than one thing to this document?

Open it in the document workspace instead: upload once, then reorder, rotate, delete, merge and compress without sending the file again.
