Rotate a PDF

Turn the pages a scanner put in sideways, one at a time or all at once, and keep the change.

Free · No account needed · Deleted automatically a few hours later

Your document is held securely while you work on it and deleted automatically a couple of hours after your last change. You can also delete it yourself at any time.

How it works

1

Upload once

Upload the PDF or the scan that came out the wrong way round.

2

Change what you need

Select the pages that need turning — or Select all — and rotate them left or right.

3

Download and analyze

Download the corrected document. The rotation is saved into the file, not just the view.

Why use LegalValidate for rotate a pdf

The rotation is saved into the file

Not a view setting — the pages come out upright for everyone who opens them afterwards.

One page or all of them

Select the sideways pages, or select all, and turn them left or right.

See it before you save it

The page grid shows the result immediately, so you can tell 90° from 270° without downloading.

Undo if you overshoot

Rotation is relative, so pressing the button twice gets you to 180 — and undo gets you back.

When you need this

  • A scanner fed a page in the wrong way round.
  • A landscape annex sits sideways inside a portrait contract.
  • A photographed page came out upside down.
  • Every page of a scan needs turning by 90 degrees.

What this tool will not do

  • Rotation is in 90-degree steps — a page scanned at a slight angle cannot be straightened here.
  • Up to 500 pages and 10 MB.
  • Unlike the single-purpose tools, the workspace holds your upload while you work on it. It is deleted automatically about two hours after your last change, and you can delete it yourself at any time.

Rotate a PDF — questions

Will the rotation stick when I send the file? +

Yes. The change is written into the document, so it is upright in every viewer, not just in ours.

Can I straighten a crooked scan? +

No — rotation moves in 90-degree steps. A page scanned at a slight angle needs rescanning, and it will also read better for OCR if you do.

Is my document stored? +

Yes, and only here. The workspace keeps your upload so you can make several changes without sending the file again, and deletes it automatically about two hours after your last change. The single-purpose tools store nothing at all.

Can I undo a mistake? +

Yes. Every operation creates a new version and undo, redo and reset are always available. Nothing you do is destructive until the session expires.

What can I upload? +

A PDF, a Word .docx, or an image. Word files and photos are converted to PDF on the way in so every operation works on every upload.
